Appointments and visits
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes, we welcome new patients of all ages. Booking is easy: use our online appointment form or call us at 604-282-3800. We will collect your information and set you up with the right dentist for your needs.
How do I book an appointment?
Online through our appointment form or by calling 604-282-3800. Same-week appointments are usually available, and emergency slots are available daily.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Government photo ID, your insurance card, a list of medications, and any previous dental records or X-rays you have. We will send you the new patient forms when you book so you can fill them out at home.
How long does a typical visit take?
First visits run 60 to 90 minutes and include intake, X-rays, an exam, and a cleaning. Routine cleanings on follow-up visits take 30 to 45 minutes. Specific treatments vary, and we tell you the expected length when you book.
What if I am running late?
Call us as soon as you can. We do our best to accommodate, though we may need to reschedule if it would impact other patients on the calendar.
Do you accept walk-ins?
For dental emergencies, yes. Call ahead so we can prepare for you. For routine care, an appointment is preferred so we can schedule the right amount of time.
Insurance and payment
Do you bill insurance directly?
Yes, for most major Canadian insurers including Pacific Blue Cross, Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, and many others. Contact us if you are unsure whether we work with your specific plan.
Are you a CDCP provider?
Yes. We are enrolled in the Canadian Dental Care Plan. Eligible patients pay only the residual amount after CDCP coverage is applied.
Do you offer payment plans?
Please call us at 604-282-3800 to discuss payment options. Our reception team will go through what is available and help find a plan that fits your situation.
Does MSP cover dental work?
BC Medical Services Plan does not cover most adult dental work. Children under 19 who qualify may be covered through Healthy Kids BC. We can help you understand what your specific coverage includes.

Specific concerns
I have dental anxiety. What can you do?
Many of our patients have dental anxiety. We offer extra time, breaks during procedures, a calm environment, and oral sedation (a pill to help you relax) for patients who would like it. Tell us when you book and we will plan accordingly.
My tooth was knocked out. What should I do?
Pick up the tooth by the crown (the part you normally see), not the root. Rinse it gently with water. If you can, place it back in the socket. Otherwise put it in a glass of milk. Get to us within 30 minutes for the best chance of saving the tooth. See our Emergency Dentistry page for more guidance.
I am pregnant. Is dental work safe?
Routine cleanings and most dental work are safe during pregnancy, especially in the second trimester. We avoid elective procedures in the first trimester and follow safety precautions for X-rays. Tell us at booking so we can adjust the visit if needed.
Can I see what my smile will look like before getting Invisalign?
Yes. We offer Invisalign 3D simulations so you can see the projected result before you commit to treatment.
Still have a question?
Our reception team is happy to answer anything else by phone or email.
